YEAR 3: just a piece of the pie

Our goal in Year 3 is to introduce our staff to the 8 Cultural Forces.  It is important that staff realizes that THINKING ROUTINES are just one eighth of the piece of the pie.  In order to create a true Culture of Thinking there needs to be more than just routines.  Nick Ontiveros shared with staff a video of his own classroom teaching.  What an inspiration he was to put himself "out there" in front of his colleagues!  While watching the video, each staff member conducted a See-Think-Wonder for one of the 8 Cultural Forces.  Through small group sharing, a conversation evolved among academic departments. We also enjoyed some great apple pie!
