Ghost Walk at Wass Elementary

11/19/2012

Principal Cheryl Gambaro and SIP Co-Chairs Melina Chynoweth and Deanna Knox participated in a Ghost Walk at Wass Elementary in the Troy School District. Wass was in their second year of the Cultures of Thinking Project, and it was very apparent that the thinking routines were being embedded into every classroom and grade level at the school.  We used a See-Think-Wonder to conduct our Ghost Walk.  Following the walk, Wass Principal Matt Jansen and teacher leaders shared their journey with us and answered our questions. We learned that Wass had conducted a Making Thinking Visible book study with their entire staff in order to assist in their implementation of the Cultures of Thinking initiative.  Reuther reciprocated the visit by hosting a Ghost Walk for the Wass educators.
