Today was the fifth Think Tank Tuesday offered this year. These sessions are offered both before and after school in an effort to accommodate all staff schedules. Discussions took place regarding the use of visible thinking "Language" and "Opportunities" in math classrooms as well as lesson design for a "Peeling the Fruit" thinking routine to be used with the novel Touching Spirit Bear.

As the 2013-14 school year draws to a close, the Reuther staff used the MYST thinking routine to reflect upon their classrooms and ways that thinking was made visible.

In addition, staff completed the "Development of a Culture of Thinking in My Classroom: Self-Assessment" developed by S. Brooks and Ron Ritchhart. This self-assessment will be used as a springboard in Fall 2014 to begin the year with a focus on the 8 Cultural Forces.

There are also plans for a new book study next school year.  The book will be Intellectual Character: What It Is, Why It Matters, and How To Get It by Ron Ritchhart.
