Melina Chynoweth, the Learning Consultant and Cohort Team member, used the Compass Points thinking routine to structure a data dig on the ACT Explore results during PD. In addition, a Chalk Talk was utilized to introduce new SIP teams for the next school year. SIP teams would be designated by departments with the name CIA team (Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment). It was determined that placing staff in department teams would assist in the growth of the use of thinking routines for instruction.
